Guinea is yet to enjoy any peaceful moment after a strike broke out almost two weeks ago. Recent news shows that 11 Guinea natives have lost their lives today as Guinea’s police clashed with the protesters.

"There are at least 100 injured. The number of dead can be estimated at 11, but we have to finalise the count ... the injured are still coming in," a medic at Guinea’s Donka Hospital told Reuters.

The rioters want Guinea’s president, Lansana Conte, to resign because of his medical status. Conte has been forced out of state house because of the ongoing house.

Many parties have tried to intervene to ensure that peace returns to Guinea. However, the intervention of the opinion leaders is yet to produce any results.

The strike in Guinea has now shifted from its capital to rural areas. With such a situation, Guinea needs prayers.
